We are moving into a period that will be full of unpredictability, increased tension, chaos, and possibilities for momentous changes, beyond what we may even imagine. There may be sudden endings and new beginnings. Overreactions in relationships becomes a very real possibility in the heightened tension, and we may experience unexpected volatility and powerful surges of emotion seemingly out of the blue. In other words, the door will be open to experience a great deal of drama if we do not remain calm in the midst of the powerful surges of energy that are arriving. The 13-day period we enter at sunset on 25 May is called Self-Regulating Energy for a reason, and it will be crucial for us to continually regulate our thoughts, our emotions, our responses, and our actions. We should practice more listening and less speaking in these energies, as there will be opportunities for miscommunication, projection, and misunderstandings.
All of these potentials are increased by Mercury Retrograde, the Full Supermoon, which brings a total lunar eclipse, and the beginning of the Collective Shadow Cycle for humanity. Global Shadow Cycles always bring chaos and opportunities for change, and with these extra influences, this one may be quite intense. This Supermoon will be the closest a Supermoon will come to Earth all year, increasing its influence on us with the total lunar eclipse. Here’s the progression of the arrival of these energies:
May 25 (sunset)- begin 13-day period of Self-Regulating Energy
May 26- Full Supermoon and Total Lunar Eclipse
May 29- Enter the Collective Shadow Cycle
May 30- Begin Mercury Retrograde
Collective Shadow Cycles present humanity with a brief window of experience where all illusion can be peeled away to the core, offering a way for us collectively to rebuild our reality from recognizing the truth. The intensity that occurs during Collective Shadow Cycles affects all of humanity, and it is often during these energetic periods that profound change (positive or negative) is made at a global level.
The Self-Regulating Energy in which we will be living for the next 13 days is a period offering opportunities to do things differently. The Maya believed that this period was like a sharp knife that had the potential to cut away all illusion. All Collective Shadow Cycles begin in this energy. Through personal self-awareness and collaboration, we have the chance to change the world by releasing old dysfunctional beliefs and patterns of behavior, making better choices, and doing things in a more positive and cooperative way. It is important during this time to break through the fog of confusion, and we may be required to make some hard choices. This period is likely to bring revelations and major shifts in all our lives, and it will be more important than ever to regulate our reactions, our emotions, our thoughts, and our previously programed patterns of reactions and actions.
